About the Designer
Shana, the founder of Sacred Spaces by Shana, has always had a passion for transforming spaces into beautiful, functional, and harmonious environments. Originally from Maryland, she relocated to Detroit, Michigan, in 2019 with a vision to invest in real estate and quickly developed a deep passion for revitalizing and beautifying the city.

Shortly after moving to Detroit, Shana took a Builder’s course, passed the Residential Builder’s Test, and became a Licensed Residential Builder. Her journey also led her to work at a local brewery, where she started as a Beertender and later advanced to Accounting Assistant. In that role, she gained valuable experience in bookkeeping and business administration—skills that now help her successfully run her own company.

As a Black woman and mother of seven, Shana understands the importance of creating spaces that are both beautiful and practical—designed for real people and real lives. Her love for interior design began in childhood, when she found joy in decorating her room and reimagining spaces throughout her home. That early passion grew into a lifelong commitment to helping others achieve stylish, functional, and stress-free living spaces.

Through Sacred Spaces by Shana, she combines her expertise in interior design, home staging, cleaning, and organizing to help clients create homes that are not only visually stunning but also truly sacred. Detroit has given Shana the opportunity to build, create, and transform, and she is excited to help others do the same in their own homes.
